Great addition to our community!

Growing up skateboarding, surfing (my husband) and snowboarding (myself), it only came naturally to want our kids involved in these sports as well. When we heard about Sk8 Asylum opening just a few doors down from our daughter's dance studio, we decided to check it out. We were so impressed with the skatepark and the staff, that we felt a skateboard would be the perfect present for our son's 6th birthday. We also signed him up for lessons, because we think it is very important for him to learn the basics in a safe environment. He has been skating for almost a month now and is absolutely loving it. The instructors are doing an amazing job teaching these little ones and dealing with their fears. I cannot believe that our son is riding down the smaller ramps already and most of all the confidence he has gained in himself.

Awesome place for my boys!

My 2 boys (ages 10 & 7) got skateboards for Christmas a few years back. The boards mostly sat in their rooms until we found the Sk8 Asylum. The boys love the ramps and hanging out with the other kids. The staff is awesome, they are so friendly and encourage the kids. They were having so much fun, I decided to sign them up for lessons. They have learned to ride the bigger ramps and they have a blast! The best part about it for mom is that I can drop them off at open skate or for their lessons and go off and run errands and then pick them up.

Love this park

SK8 Asylum is awesome. My friends and I have been here on several different weekends since it opened. There is always a diverse group of people skating - everyone's real cool to each other. We usually skate street and the course has a rail, stairs, and cement hubbas. Living in Phoenix it gets way too hot to skate outside during the summer. With AC, This will be PERFECT! You need to check it out!

Sk8Asylum is a fantastic park. We stumbled upon their sign one day and both of my boys, ages 7 and 10, are now wanting to skate everyday. The instruction team is GREAT, I really cannot say enough about the entire staff. Each hurdle is handled with compassion and accomplishment is reinforced by all. The rivalry is non existent and the other skaters are some of the nicest and most polite kids you could want your children to be with and emulate. After a month plus in lessons, both of my boys have grown in their abilities by leaps and bounds. As a side bonus, they are also wanting to read more, about pro skaters, and finish homework in record time so they do not miss any skate time. Truly a great place ran by great people. Jason

Grandma Love This Place!
I discovered Sk8 Asylum quite by accident, and am so glad I did. I have part time custody of my grandchildren and noticed the sign for SK8 ASYLUM on my way back to QC from WIlliams Airfield after picking the kids up for an extended stay. The boys love to skateboard, but I have never felt comfortable in the public parks. The owners make you feel so at home, showed me where I could sit to watch the kids, and it was so nice knowing there was an adult (or 3) that were in control. Thank you for the peace of mind and the looks of joy on the kids faces as well as mine!

Thank you so much for your generous donation and helping raise awareness for our foundation. I received a message from my cousin, Greg Peirce, who lives in Mesa AZ, a few days before you held the event, but our family was actually on vacation in Hawaii so with the huge time difference it was difficult to connect with him beforehand. I can't believe how much money you raised for JohnnyKicksCancer!!!! It's incredible.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day! Thank you again -- hope to meet you one day at a future skating event.

Hugs to all -- Jules
